Representing complex datatypes in SharePoint
I am looking to design a custom field type that will let me choose a brand, then based on that a filtered list of sub brands.

I would also like, if possible, to be able to filter the list to only show a user brands that are relevant to their country.

It would also be good to be able to select more than one brand / sub brand.

It also needs to be search friendly and ideally work with the faceted search webparts on codeplex.

Has anyone attempted such a feat, and if so, are there any findings, or gotchas that I should bear in mind?

Thanks

Mark
